A: It isn't the easiest thing to do. Get a manual from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM and it will tell you if you need special tools.
there was a manufacturer RECALL for the window wiper blade. any replacement should be free.

A: completely drain it and replace coolant while your there ...coolants are cheap...get empty milk jugs and such..

As soon as I connect the battery I get a clicking sound coming from the fuse box under the hood even if the key is not in or turned on. The car will start ok but if I leave the battery connected it will drain it. This is very frustrating and I hope someone might be able to help me.

A: have u checked the fuel pump its electric and will click when the key is turned on its del gas to the injectors list for it to see if it might be that you dont have a stethscope to listen we listen with a screwdrive placed on the part and put the ear on the top of the screwdriver it acts as a stethscope good luck

It also sounds like my breaks rubb as well when im driveing.
A: DOT 3 fluid is the recommended fluid or this vehicle.
Have your brakes checked A.S.A.P. to see why they are rubbing.

Q: Why would you replace the slave cylinder instead of the clutch on a 2001 hyundai accent if it is hard to chang?
When driving it for awhile it gets hard to change gears. I have to push the clutch all the way down to change the gears and it is still hard to switch. It gets worst when i drive it for a long period of time.
A: sound like the slave cylinder is bypassing fluid and getting air in the system

about every 2 weeks in the car. Also smoke seems to be always coming from the tailpipe. A friend of mine suggested that it may have something to do with the rings in the motor? That the oil was leaking through there and getting on the engine. No clue for sure what that all means. Any suggestions of what it might be?
A: how many miles on this car? did it happen suddenly? if its an old car, maybe its saying you need a replacement.
I wouldnt invest any money. you can buy another car for what it takes to do a engine job on a car nowadays.

Will HYUNDAI 1.5L SOHC CYLINDER HEAD 2000 fit in 2001 hyundai accent (12 valve) 1.5L?
A: If you can determine the production date of each head (meaning-the vehicle it came off of), certain ones are interchangeable.
From 9/1/99 to 1/31/01 - the SOHC heads are the same.
After 1/31/01 the SOHC head changes slightly.
You would also change all the gaskets = upper overhaul kit. Which, ironically, is the same for all the 1.5L through 2005. msrp $148.90.

I found out my Accent has a broken seal, I guess in the engine. The quick lube would not change the oil as the car has NO oil in it now. I am trying to figure out if this falls under the Hyundai warranty at this point. The car has 55,000 miles on it. If not, what is the cost?
A: did you buy the car new. if so you have the 10 yr. 100k warranty. if used you have the 6 yr. 60k warranty. it is covered if you fall under the warranty. i have dealt with 3 hyundais and they are crap. the last was just gotten rid of, 2000 sonata that had over $18,000 worth of warranty repairs. yes $18,000 in documented repairs. get rid of it while you can.
Q: I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent GL and my engine light came on.?
For the past two weeks, I have been having a hard time accelerating and while I am driving my car sometimes jerks really hard. I went to the auto shop today and they did an engine diagnostic test. The mechanic told me that it looked like the transmission was slipping and he referred me to a transmission specialist. I was not able to contact anyone there because they were already closed. So my question is, what do you think the problem with the transmission could be? I hope it nothing too serious.
A: what did the diagnostic tester read out? and it sounds like you may just need a filter and fluid change. it may be an engine problem but the codes are needed to be sure. have auto zone or someone run an engine diagnostic on it and get the codes and definitions.

I am putting a new timing belt on a 1.5L accent and the crankshaft bolt does not want to loosen to get the pulley off... I am assuming like most crankshaft bolts it should turn counterclockwise to loosen ? right or wrong..Thanks

A: Yes, checking the manual is the best bet. Usually there's some marks on the gears that should line up with marks on the block, and you're supposed to rotate the crank, cams and whatever else the timing belt drives until these marks all line up, and then it's safe to put the belt on and tension it. The exact procedure for your engine will be in the manual.
Sometimes you can find auto shop manuals at your public library.
