A: Your Elantra has 2 sensors. One on the exhaust manifold (aka upstream) and one in the exhaust pipe (aka downstream). If your check engine light is on, I recommend having it scanned for codes. If this isn't an option, replace both. If you don't have someone turn the CEL off, it will take several drive cycles for it to reset. An alternative is to unhook the positive battery cable, then put it back on. You will have to reset all your radio presets and clock, but it is immediate. The sensors are threaded at one end, a wire harness and plug at the other end. You should be able to unscrew and unplug easily if the sensors aren't rusted on. If they are stuck in, torch them off.

A: I bought a 2002 elantra 4-door GLS sedan for my daughter to drive about 1 1/2 years ago, and it's been a great car. One really nice thing about it was that the bumper 2 bumper warranty 5years,60k miles was transferrable. We've only had to use the warranty a couple of times for minor things, radio and vent louvers. We plan to keep it til she's out of college 4 years from now,unless she crashes it, of course. I also have a 2000 Honda Odyssey, and the Elantra is way more fun to drive! If/when you need new tires I recommend the Goodyear Assurance Tripletread tires. They made our Elantra handle like new and have great traction. This car doesn't have anti-lock brakes as standard, yours may,but you'll need to check to find out. It was the best used car for the money I could find.

A: There is a black or gray lever on the left side of the steering column that pulls down to adjust the steering wheel up or down.
Push down on the lever and it unlocks the steering wheel to move up and down freely about 4 inches. When you get it to a level you like, push the lever back up and it will lock the wheel in place.

A: u need an amp, subs, a box, a remote cable to attach to ur fuse box, rca cables to plug into ur head unit to the amp, speaker wire, a pwer cable from ur battery to ur amp and that should be it unless u want a bass knob. now u plug the rca cables to the back of ur head unit (so youll need to get "keys" to remove it from the dash), then u plug the other end to ur amp, next you run the power cable from ur car battery through ur car to ur amp, then u run the remote wire from the amp to the fuse box (and attach it to the fuse thats used for engine timing), next u run speaker wire from the amp to the subwoofer box . . . . and thats pretty much it but its a lot easier said than done, if its your first time i would suggest getting a professional to do it or google it well
