Q: Does anyone know if a 2007 Hyundai Elantra is a reliable car?
Can anyone give me some insight on a 2007 Elantra? I want to know if it is reliable, if it gets good gas mileage, or anything that is helpful !!!! THANKS!!!!

A: The first guy (buttersg...)is a pure example of the type of disinformation you will find. The Elantra was just named top pick in it's class BY Consumer Reports. Rated I believe above avg for reliability. It wouldn't be named top pick by them if it was below avg. Again, someone who never owned a Hyundai (3 Toyota's) regurgitating something from the 90's. The Elantra isn't best in class for gas mileage but is still very good (32-33 mpg highway). The big advantages are comfort and safety. The EPA has classified the interior as mid-sized and it has safety systems available like Traction Control and Electronic Stability Control which aren't offered on most cars in it's class. It's wasn't named top pick by CR for nothing

Q: does plugging a vepc into the iat sensor into a 2007 hyundai elantra actually give you horsepower.how much?
if i install the vepc into the iat sensor in my 2007 elantra how much horsepower can i gain and what gas milage should i expect.thanks to whoever replies

A: The Elantra has 138 hp from the factory. You should expect to see 142 hp and 2-4 miles per gallon. You'll have better luck adding a free-flowing intake and exhaust but every system you alter, voids the warranty of the components that are altered and those that are adversely affected by the alteration - no exceptions from Hyundai. Failure of such components is not considered manufacturer's defect.

Q: How much is reasonable to pay for a 2007 Hyundai Elantra SE?
I hate going to a dealer to buy a car!! I have done my homework and want to buy a Hyundai SE, but the dealers add on a bunch of garbage and jack up the price. How much is it realistic to pay for the car.

A: go to the hyundai website. Hyundais are great cars. We own both the elantra and honda civic. the hyundai is a better made car with alot less problems than the civic IMO

Q: What snow chains go on a 2007 Hyundai Elantra?
I recall the dealer saying that normal chains do not go on the car, and I forgot the owners manual at home.

A: Snow chains are illegel since they have been flying off and killing people and causing accidents. They also ruin your tires. You cannot drive over 10mph with snow chains without damaging your car and/or tires.

Q: car starters in a 2007 Hyundai Elantra Void Warranty?
Does a automatic car starter void any part of the Hyundai warranty? I would have it installed a reputable place of course. I have the answer from the dealership. It does not void anything at all. If there is a problem created by the starter it is not covered. But more the likley it was the installers fault and they will cover it. Thank everyone.

A: I have one on my 2003 Tiburon and it has not voided the warranty. Plan on putting one on my wife's new Azera soon and it doesn't have 1000 miles on it yet. The dealer did not install any of them and I will not have them install one for me. (Most likely the same place I go would do the job for the dealer anyhow only the dealer would charge more) ( for the one who does not agree with me, the start pad is on my key ring, there is a sticker under the hood stating it is installed.... so they know it is there. It has not stopped any warranty work. For Hyundai warranty work, I have never had any problems... but they have been very clear to me on what will void any warranty.)

Q: what are best performance companies for 2007 HYUNDAI Elantra?
can some one help me to find parts to improve my car performance i didnt find any thing more than Air Filter and Oil Filter in the internet, and i need more than that , can some one lead me to any good company for hyundai? thanks

A: No...there isn't any reason to modify an Elantra. Just buy a cheaper older car that does have some aftermarket support and some potential. Unless you have the 2 liter engine you will never make any respectable gains.

Q: Air intake on a 2007 Hyundai Elantra?
I have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra, and I want an Air intake. What are the best products to use, and are there any websites that give step, by step instructions on how to install?

A: well k&n make a good product which i recomend to anyone inproves horse power, fuel economy and saves money and of course there are other intakes as well just look it up on the web or even go to oreillyauto.com and put your car info in and see what is avaliable the kits will come with step by step instructions

Q: What are the current "secret" factory-to-dealer rebates/incentives on the 2007 Hyundai Elantra?

A: "Dealer Money" is a variable based on the dealer meeting certain sales objectives, which change every month. While every car sold almost certainly has some "secret" money, remember that Hyundai's have the lowest mark-up I've seen in 12 years in the car business. We have some Accents that have around $300 mark up from invoice to sticker. So, if the dealer is not willing to give up his "secret" money, then that's why.

Q: What do you think is better, 2007 Hyundai Elantra or 2007 Toyota Corolla?
I am leaning more toward Elantra b/c it looks good but I want your honest opinions. Thanks in advance

A: I have to agree with bear facts. As an Elantra owner for the past 4 years (own an 02 model) I can tell you it is the best car, for the least price. Feel like throwing extra money down the toilet?? Fine, then buy yourself a Toyota. They're pricey, and you're stupid for paying it. Save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars and buy a Hyundai. 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty...you're an absolute idiot to pass it up. And yes, my Hyundai has had problems...both of them covered under warranty. I didn't pay a dime. And the Elantra looks great for 07, the wife and I are probably going to get one soon. The old El has a ton of miles. Good luck

Q: Anyone here drive a Hyundai Elantra - 2007 or 2008?
I want to know a few things, if you do: 1. How is the fuel economy? 2. Is highway passing power adquate? (People with SUVs in my area drive as if they're indestructible, unaccountable gods and goddesses). 3. Overall comfort/quality? Thanks!

A: The new Elantra's are basically an improved, slightly bigger version of my 01' Elantra. The engine and transmission are basically the same just improved so I think I can provide some insight. Hyundai has turned a good car into a very good one. 7 yrs later I still 34 mpg highway and about 25 city so I would think the new ones would get around 26/35 with no problem. Power is decent for a small car but don't expect to win alot red light races. Still for everyday driving, passing power is decent. Comfort is one of the Elantra better points. My Elantra is still quiet and takes bumps and potholes well. People are surprised when I tell them it's a 7 yr old car so the quality is definitely good from a durability standpoint. Again, the new Elantra is a improvement over mine so I think it's a very good pick.

Q: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Rims for my 2007 Hyundai Elantra?
I'm looking to replace the stock rims of my 2007 Elantra with some new ones. I know that my wheels have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor in them. Will this affect the rims I'll be able to get? Will any rims work or will I have to get specific ones that can fit the sensor? Any info. would be beneficial. *Thanks* ******* Thanks for the info! Anyone know where I should (start to) look for these specific rims? Or should I just call around?

A: I ran into the same problem about 8 months ago here at the dealership. I sale Kia's and Hyundai's and when the TPMS first came out we had the same problem. A customer wanted alloy wheels instead of hubcaps, so we had to get the customer after market wheels. We did not think that the TPMS system would be a problem. IT WAS!!!! You have to buy a wheel designed for that TPMS or it will enable your TPMS. It will do nothing to your vehicle what so ever, but it is a nice feature just not to use. So if you want to stay with in warranty you have to buy the wheels designed for that system. My problem 8 months ago cost our dealership about $1,600 extra dollars for a little mistake. Great Question, Hope I could help.

Q: Does anyone drive the new 2007 Hyundai Elantra or the 2007 Nissan Sentra?
I want to know if you like it and what you like about it. I know Nissan has a better name, but there are a few things the Elantra has that the Sentra does not. COuld you please give me soem feedback on it. Thanks

A: The Hyundai is a very nice car for the money and Hyundai reliability and quality has improved a lot. Unfortunately the Hyundai name is still crap and that means depreciation is very high. In other words your $20,000 Hyundai is worth $7,000 after a few years so the money you think you are saving, you actually lose and then some when it comes time to sell it or trade it in. Don't let the 100,000 mile warranties sucker you in. Wouldn't you rather have a car that you KNOW is reliable and won't need a 100,000 mile warranty? The Nissan will at least hold it's value better than the Hyundai, but if you want a car that keeps it's value AND is reliable you should really be looking at Honda's and Toyota's to be honest.

Q: Is the 2007 Hyundai Elantra good in the snow?
Please reply only if you have driven or ridden in a 2007 Elantra in the snow.

A: Any car is good in the snow as long as you have some good winter tires on!

Q: What do you think about a 2007 Hyundai Elantra? Is this a good car to purchase? I just want your opinion.?

A: hyundai - wouldnt be my preference but if its in your price range , and you cant find a toyota for same amount - even 1 or 2 years old , then go for it.

Q: New Hyundai Elantra or Used 2007 GLS Hyundai Sonata?
I think I would be able to get them around the same price. Which one is better.

A: I always lean toward new cars but the Sonata does have some advantages. As roomy as the Elantra is the Sonata is bigger so it will have more room. The Sonata has standard traction and stability control which are options on the Elantra plus it has more HP then Elantra. You would think the smaller Elantra would have better fuel efficiency but the engine in the Sonata is more advanced so the numbers aren't very far off, 25/33 for the Elantra, 22/32 for the Sonata. Warranty plays a part too. New Hyundai's have 10yr/100k but a used one, if it isn't "certified", will only have the balance of the bumper to bumper 5yr/60k. A certified used Hyundai will give you the balance of 10yrs/100k. IMO a new Elantra "SE" (higher trim) would be a better pick because it's closer to the Sonata in terms of equipment. A "certified" used Sonata would be better pick over a new Elantra "GLS" (lower trim) for the same equipment reasons. Keep in mind a NEW "2008" Sonata has a $3000 cash back offer going on now. With a little haggling you may get a new one for not much more over a used 2007
