Q: What is the widest tyre size for 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I am planning on getting 18" rims and would like to get wider tyres. What is the widest tyre size that can be placed on the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe without affecting the speed or transmission.
A: 235 is stock so, 245 is the widest you'll want to go I think. The 1st poster is wrong, this won't damage your transmission/brakes/engine or whatever. The important thing is to make sure the overall diameter of the tire is the same as stock or it will throw off your speed and mileage readings by a couple %. check out http://www.tirerack.com As you will see, the Limited Santa Fe came with 18's, I'm not sure if you have the GLS that came with 16's, so obviously the Santa Fe can handle larger rims straight from the factory even. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?loadRank=2&width=245%2F&ratio=60&diameter=18&vehicleSearch=true&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&performance=SSTAS&performance=HAS&speed_rating=S&speed_rating=T&speed_rating=U&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=%28Y%29&RunFlat=All&x=51&y=7
Q: How long do you think my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe would last?
I just got a 2003 Hyundai santa fe as a gift from my uncle. Of course, it is his old car and it has 117,000 miles on it. How much longer do you think I will be able to maintain it. I don't drive it very often and when I do it's not very far. (P.S. He also just put new brakes on it)
A: i would say 150 to 160 thousand miles IF uncle did regular maintenince and IF you do as well, it also depends on were you live strating a car engine when its 10 below is hard on the engine as the oil gets very thick, now in florida cars last longer then in chicago
Q: How do I put my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe into overdrive?
I am going to be driving from Florida to Pennsylvania. I heard that putting your car into overdrive saves gas. I can't figure out how to shift it into overdrive. I have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. Any help would be appreciated,
A: your overdrive in your hyundai is built right into your regular drive, so there is no way to put it in overdrive, it just naturally does it. so there is nothing you really need to worry about it, also doing highway driving at speeds of about 65-75 get really good mpg results
Q: How to replace fog light on 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe?
How do you get to the fog light on a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe to replace the fog light bulb? I have searched online and found instructions that you have to remove the main light first which I did, but I still cannot figure out how to get at the fog light. I can just get my hand down to the back of the fog light box, but cannot remove the fog light box or get the light out.
Detailed instructions would be nice from someone!
A: more than likely you will have to remove the front bumper cover to get access to it. Then you pull the socket outof the lamp. Change bulb if it is blown.
Q: How do you change the wheel of a Hyundai Santa Fe 2004 model?
The right back wheel of my Hyundai Santa Fe was punctured and I've removed the bolts and such and tried to remove it but it won' come out, I really need to get this working fast as I have work. If anyone has ever experienced this before and would like to share your help, please do. In my view, the wheel looks like it's weld onto the axe.
A: if you don't know how to change a tire, don't drive.
Q: What are the chances that Hyundai will come out with a hybrid Santa Fe in the next few years?
I'd like to purchase a Hyundai Santa Fe but I also want to be conscious about the environment. I could go with a Ford Escape hybrid but the reviews aren't that great.
A: If you are considering a hybrid to try to "save" money, guess again.
The price of the lithium battery far exceeds what the car will use in fossil fuel. Not to mention replacing the battery costs more than it is worth.
Hyundai has no current plans to produce a hybrid. The main reason is that Hyundai has such a huge warranty. The hybrid batteries have a very short life and Huyndai does not want to get stuck buying new batteries under warranty.
Simple buisness.
Q: How much does it cost to replace Shocks and Breaks on a Hyundai Santa Fe?
My fiance says my shocks and breaks need to be replaced on my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. Any idea how much this is going to run me? Like $200? $500? $1000? I am stressing out over this, and Monday couldn't come fast enough for me to take it to the mechanic! I am really stressed out about this!
A: Brake Pads for all 4 axles will be about $50-100 for a quality brand. Shocks/Struts will run you about $250-400 depending on the brand you choose. Labor will be 4-5 hours at the typical $70-90 per hour. So, a minimum of $700-1000 should cover both jobs. You can find all these parts on http://www.tirerack.com http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/Susptabl.jsp?autoMake=Hyundai&autoModel=Santa+Fe+2wd&autoYear=2002&autoModClar=&brand=all
Since you have an older vehicle, I'd just go with the cheapest struts they have, a set of 4 KYB GR-2 Strut is only $228+ shipping.
Here's a list of brake pads, http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/results.jsp?autoMake=Hyundai&autoYear=2002&autoModel=Santa+Fe+2wd&autoModClar=&brand=&perfcat=premium
Satisfied Pro Perform OEM Pads are $45 for both front and rear, I'd get them since they are OEM quality.
Q: How do I Change Hyundai Santa Fe Wiper Blades?
I just bought some more blades for my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe from Canadian Tire. I can't seem to figure out how to get the old ones off and put the new ones on. Has anyone done this before who knows how the mechanism works? I've been out in the cold working on it twice for about half an hour each time and have had no luck at all figuring it out.
A: the hyundai is a good car despite what the other person has said. to get the wiper blades off there are a couple of clips on the wiper arms. push the clip in and move the wiper arm out. then depending on how the blade is secured it should just pull out.
Q: Planning to buy a mini SUV.Should i go for the CRV,Rav,Suzuki Grand Vitara or Hyundai Santa fe?
I am planning to buy a mini SUV.I liked the CRV but the high price for both Rav and CRV.How abt the less famous ones like Suzuki Grand Vitara.I was in Australia recently i saw many Suzuki's Vitaras around i liked the styling and the 2.7 L engine than the 2.4L of the others.Another one is the Santa Fe. Hyundai seems to be making value for money cars. They have improved considerably as shown by many consumer reports studies.Having reliability comparable to Toyota's. I have a 95 model Accord which was damn reliable. And i have a soft corner for Honda CRV.But they are so costly.Hondas & Toyota's they charge a high premium for their cars.
A: Hyundai Santa Fe has really improved this last year. The 2007 model is INCREDIBLE. It is a great car with unbeatable warranty, great price and it is one of the safest mid-size SUVs out there. Check out this link for some safety info:

Q: How much does it cost to have front bumper repainted on a Hyundai Santa Fe?
I got in a little fender bender with my new Santa Fe...need to have the front bumper panel repainted. At first it was just scraped, but after going to the car wash this morning, it is now missing a large amount of paint. I have no idea what something like this would cost...any info greatly appreciated as I need to figure out if I should file with my insurance or pay for it myself out of pocket...Thanks in advance for your answers!
A: If you have it repainted, there will be no guarantee that the paint will not peal, but most likely will not. To do the job right expect 5 to 600 dollars.

I'm selling 04 Santa Fe for my 83 yr old aunt and she's lost both remotes. I've found one on ebay but need programming instructions. Thanks
A: Turn the ignition from off to on three times within five seconds (don't start the car). The indicator lights will both flash once. Then press one of the remote controller keys. Thats it.

Where ca l get programmig instruction for keyless entry remote for 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Everytime I try to play a cd in the factory cd player (2002 Hyundai Santa Fe) it spits it back out and says "Error code 1". Can anyone tell me what this means?
A: Error 1 is disc focus.. Get a lens cleaner cd, if that doesnt clean it, your going to need to replace the whole deck.
Q: Life expectancy of a 2001 hyundai santa fe?
My mother in law is planning to a buy a 2001 hyundai santa fe with 100,000 miles on it...Its only a 4-cyl. engine on a fairly large vehicle. I am concerned... I am looking for any information i can get on the life expectancy of this vehicle...thanks
A: The 2001 North American version of Hyundai Santa Fe was equipped with a 2.4L I4 engine that was developed by GEMA (Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance) which is a joint venture between DaimlerChrystler, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai. That particular line of engines are shared by all three companies. I looked at the factsheet and the engine seems to be well built. The link below is a link to the factsheet. My personal oppinion is that it is a great engine because it is widely used with minor variations. The engine should be fine for another 100k-150k miles.
