Q: Will this tire/rim combination work on my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I'm in Canada and I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe with P225/70R16 all season tires with rims that are the 5 bolt pattern and (114.3mm/4.5") factory rims.
I saw an ad for a set of snow tires size 225/70/R16, and they are on Toyota Highlander steel rims.
Are these rims compatible with my vehicle?
A: I hate to tell you the long way to do it, but go to Tirerack.com, and get their phone number, ask them nicely, see if they'd tell you.
Another way is to call a tire store locally, fake that you saw some nice wheels off a Highlander, and you wonder if they'd fit your car.
Wish I have a tire store.
Q: What is an air cylinder in a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe?
My Santa Fe's manual says to check the air cylinder at 30K. This isn't the air filter, that's listed seperately. What is this part and what is it for?
A: The only "air cylinder" I can think of is the strut that holds open the rear liftgate. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Q: how do I replace my passenger seat belt restraint sensor on my 2005 hyundai santa fe?
A: If you are referring to the pretensioner, it's built into the seatbelt buckle. There are also sensors in the retractable seatbelt and the seat may have a ocs sensor in it that tells if there is a passenger in the seat (so the pass airbag will work). Would have to know the fault code to tell you which one is faulty.
Q: I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. There is a wire hanging that I am trying to identify.?
I hit a small metal pole today and looked under the car for damage. I see a large wire that appears to have been ripped away from it's plug. Under the car, by the right front tire is the oil filter. The wire is right next to that. I don't think I can reattach it. Any ideas what the plug might be, and if there is anything I can do?
A: Being a 2005 model, is it still under warranty? Take it in, let them put it on the lift and fix it. Even if you have to pay, it shouldn't be much.
Q: 2005 Honda Pilot or 2005 Hyundai santa Fe?
Right now my friends parents are looking at both of these. They like the Pilot more, but his mom doesn't think that his dad needs to drive such a big car to work back and forth everyday, His sister took their 2005 honda accord to college.
A: I would agree that the Pilot is the better vehicle, but it also is more expensive so that makes sense. I agree with your mom, both of these are too big and expensive to maintain just to use as a commuter vehicle. For the same money he can buy a new Hyundai Elantra and he'll save a ton of money on gas (7 mpg better then the 2 SUV's) and maintenance (shocks, breaks, tires, oil change etc all cheaper). If he finds the Elantra too small for him, the Sonata is also great and with the I4 gets great gas mileage too.

Q: What is the correct tire pressure for Hyundai Santa Fe (2005) ?
A: in case you get some random dumb answers
open your driver's door and look at one of the stickers either on the door or in the door jam
there will be one indicating in p.s.i. what your tire should be set at. one number for the front, one for the rear or the same for both
Q: which buy is better: 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe LX = 9999 or 2005 Kia Sorento LX - $8,995 (bouth under 50k miles)?
bouth are automatic ad under 50 k miles.
i understand that kias and hiundays are better cars ,.....but which of them are better....which is more affortable to repair or provide more bucks for my money.

kia are made by hyundai now but i don't think they were in2005.
repair costs and warranty etc should all be similar.
Q: 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe?
My compass on my SUV is a little off when im driving north or south it always says Northwest or Southwest. I want to reset or calibrate it but i'm not sure how to do so.
A: Your compass needs to be reset. Your local dealership will have the knowledge on how to reset it. I can not remember if it is in the owner's manual or not. You may want to check that first. It involves driving the in 360 degree turns in one direction, and then in the other. I can not recall the initial steps to get it started.
Q: Mazda Trubute 2005 OR Hyundai Santa Fe 2004?
I would need some opinions on which of these 2 vehicles I should buy. I am looking for reliability mostly. Thanks
A: The Mazda Tribute is the same vehicle as a Ford Escape. The Escape has a proven track record and is a top seller in the small SUV market. The Santa Fe is equally reliable and it might still have some warranty remaining.
I think your choice should boil down to the individual vehicles.
What kind of shape are they in?
Mileage?
Options?
Price?
Both, by comparison are reliable models, from solid manufacturers. So you need to look at the attributes of the specific units you are considering.
Q: I want in car entertainment for Hyundai Santa Fe 2005?
Prefer 2 din options
A: Best in car entertainment I know of is a good woman.
Q: Can a tune-up cause the fuel pump to go out on a Santa Fe? Or should the tune-up have caught this?
It's a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. I took it for a 60,000 mile tune-up earlier in the week, and I travel for work. I drove it for 2 short in-town trips, then left on a trip that was about 600 miles. Is it just bad-timing/ coincidence that it went out on me 5 days after the servicing?
A: bad luck, unfortunately, there's no way to tell the condition of a fuel pump during a tune-up, they usually show no signs before they quit (other than a scope pattern of the armature which takes WAY too long to do on a routine tuneup).
Q: hyundai santa fe radio removing help?
need help on how to remove a am/fm cd radio from santa fe 2005 would like to do it myself but i dont wanna damage the unit im replacing cant find any diagrams on the net tolls and the rest !
A: i did this to my moms car and there are 2 screws i believe where the ash tray is. pull it out take the 2 screws out and tug on the bottom of it and then the top and it all should come out. just dont pull too hard to break wires or something. then there are 2 or 4 screws holding the radio in.
Q: hyundai whistling noise...?
i have a 2005 hyundai santa fe auto trans 3.7L. It makes a whistling noise at around 2000 rpms which seems to disappear when it shifts into the highest gear. The noise is always present when the transmission is in the third gear range. Thanks for any help.
A: Well, if it's not affected by applying the brake pedal, then it sounds like a classic vacuum leak from a rubber vacuum hose somewhere. The engine vacuum changes as the transmission shifts and causes the engine RPM to increase or decrease. There's actually a "chassis ear" that is designed to locate noises like that anywhere on a car as you drive, but it's too expensive for one time use. You'll have to raise the hood and try to locate the loose or split vacuum hose. It might be under the dash sometimes. Of course this assumes that it is not wind noise through your car doors etc. If it were affected by the brakes, it would be associated with the brake power booster and vacuum valve.

Q: Hyundai Santa Fe does anyone drive one?
Can you tell me about how much mileage you get on the street vs. the highway? I'm thinking about buying a 2004, 2005.
A: I have an 07 Sante Fe w/ 4800 miles, best driving car ever, gets 22 around town-26 hwy.
Q: please an advice what car is better?
if you have $10000 to buy a car and you option is:
2003 nissan murano 4wd se wth 161000 kl.
2005 hyundai santa fe 4wd 70000 kl
2005 saturn vue 4wd 120000 kl
which one of these will you buy for the same price and why?
A: I'd definitely go with the Hyundai, its the newest and has the fewest miles. That Murano is a rip-off and Nissan while Japanese doesn't have the quality of Honda/Toyota, really about the same as Hyundai and Saturn.
