Q: How would you compare the 2006 Hyundai Sonata to the 2007 Toyota Camry?
I am considering the two cars as my top two options but I can not decide. I want the 2.4L Engine model's for both cars with leather interior. Sonata is cheaper but it is a Hyundai and doesn't have the Toyota brand name. Camry sits a bit more comfortably I think but I haven't yet taken a test drive in the Sonata. I live in Israel so I do not get the mega warranty on the Sonata. It's a three year warranty - same as the Camry. Please help. Thanks in advance!

A: Get the Camry...its way more stylish than the sonata...plus engine will last you years...camry all the way...no ? bout it

Q: 2005 Nissan Altima or a 2006 Hyundai Sonata?
I want to buy either a 2005 Nissan Altima or a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I've found both of them to be around the price. I need a car that will hold some value, is great on gas mileage and also looks and performs great. Which is the best choice???

A: The Sonata depreciates as a slightly higher rate and gas mileage/performance is very similar. The Sonata has a higher build quality and will be more reliable in the long term. The Sonata also likely still has some of the factory 5 yr/60K warranty left, while the Altima's is running out shortly. Consumer Reports and JD Power rank Hyundai higher then Nissan. Since the 2 cars are so close, I think you need to test drive both and then make a decision, you can't go wrong with either of these mid-size sedans.

Q: Is a 2006 Hyundai Sonata a smart buy?
I've driven a compact car for 3 years now and I am ready to move up to a full size sedan, however I have a limit to what I can spend. I was given the option to get a 2006 Hyundai Sonata at an extremely reasonable price. I've heard both good & bad things abt Hyundai, and I am not sure if this would be a smart buy. However it is a beautiful car. Please let me know of your views of this car. Thanks!

A: This an unorthodox piece of advice, but you can cut to the quick by asking Tow Truck Drivers (Company) what they think of the brand. They will not try to sell you anything and they tow everything. I have found them to have an informed opinion on what is good and what is "junk". If they would buy it, then you can better trust that you are making a good decision. If they would stay away from it, find out why. This could be the useful for any brand you consider to purchase, not just Hyundai.

Q: How does one replace the cabin air filter in a 2006 hyundai sonata?

A: If you open your glove compartment you'll see the hydraulic attachment on the right side. You can detach this with a small screwdriver by pushing it off the knob that its hooked to. Be careful it is plastic. Once you do that you can then press in on the sides of the glove compartment to release it and pull it forward or downward. Make sure it is empty first or it will be afterwards. You can then see the for clips that you squeeze together and pull the tray out. Once you have it out then simply squeeze the center of the filter like an accordion with your thumb and index finger to get it out of the tray. Follow these steps in reverse with the new filter and your done.

Q: How expensive is it to convert my 2006 Hyundai Sonata to biodesiel?
It's a 3.3L V-6 with Automatic Transmission, Air Conditioning, ESC, ABS 4 Wheel Disc and Power Steering

A: lol first trade it for a diesel

Q: I just put a tank of E85 ethanol in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata?
Do I have to worry? The check engine light came on, but the car is running fine. I used 1/3 of the tank and topped off with regular unleaded to dillute the mix. Someone HELP!!!

A: Yeah, you should worry. The engine was not designed for Ethanol. It will run fine, but not for long. Only the FlexFuel GM made cars use E85 and the Dodge Durango. Not all GM cars can use it. It must say Flex Fuel and the gas cap is yellow for cars that can use it. It will cost you a lot to fix it. I will be suprised if they cover this under warranty since it specifically says to use unleaded regular fuel on the gas cap or in the gas door.

Q: Is the factory radio in a 2006 Hyundai sonata considered a "Din or Double Din" radio.?
I was planning on removing my factory radio and putting in a 7" touch screen or something similar in size, i just need to make sure i buy something that will fit. And does anyone know where i can buy a trim kit that will fit around the edges so it looks snug> thanks

A: You can install a DIN or double-DIN radio using this mounting kit: http://www.audiooutfitter.com/hy1609b/scosche/p316857.html It looks like a single-DIN kit, but the pocket can be removed, allowing a double-DIN opening.

Q: How do you program a remote for a 2006 hyundai sonata?

A: Unfortunately you can only have this done at the dealer, go to the dealer and say that your key fob stopped working and have them reprogram it under warranty. Some will, some will not.

Q: 2006 Hyundai Sonata Maintenance Manual?
Where could I find/purchase a 2006 Hyundai Sonata Maintenance Manual?

A: You can buy it on ebay. That's where I got mine.

Q: Rear Facing car seat with a 2006 Hyundai Sonata?
I drive an '06 Hyundai Sonata and want to put my baby's rear facing car seat in the center seat, but want to use the LATCH system. Does anyone know if I can use the LATCH system in the center back seat? I've looked in my owners manual and it says something about the ISOFIX system. What's the difference between these two systems, and can I use it in the center seat?

A: I haven't hear of a car with lower anchors (the LA in LATCH) in the middle. If you look at the backseat, it probably has four anchors? The little U shaped things are the anchors. If there's only 4, it only has them in the outboard positions and you can not use them in the middle. The middle is still the safest place, and a seatbelt installed car seat is just as safe as one installed with LATCH. LATCH was made to be easier, not safer. They are equally safe when used correctly. As for ISOFIX, to my knowledge, that is a a method of installation for European car seats, not here in the US, though it is similar to LATCH, there are a few seats in the US that are ISOFIX, basically it is a rigid form of LATCH, and it does not fit well in as many different vehicles as the LATCH using the webbed belt.

Q: How do I arm the alarm for a 2006 Hyundai Sonata??

A: You can either use the key or the click the button once to activate the alarm, this alarm is central locking and remote based

Q: 2006 Hyundai Sonata and I need to replace my rearview mirror that fell off. How do I put it back on.

A: My 06 Hyundai Elentra GT mirror did too, years ago! I brought it back to the dealer. Your car has a 100K mile warante silly, just bring it in. They will fix it! Make sure you have had nothing hanging from it, they will blame you for it if you did.

Q: Who sells 2006 Hyundai Sonata Cabin filters besides the dealers?

A: Well, the dealer part # 08790-3K000 has decreased in price in the last month. The old part # 97133-3K000 listed at $29, since the number changed to 0879, the price dropped to $19. Do not know if it is available aftermarket, or not.

Q: Is it okay to drive a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS-V6 if I'm a Realtor?
I'm just starting out, and I can't afford to lease an expensive car until this one is paid up, or I start making some sales. What options do I have? To NovaStar: I didn't plan to sell properties when I purchased the car in November 2005 (1.5 years ago). Thanks for the answers. NANCY & GODGED, you were my next top choices for best answer. XCore is an honorable mention.

A: I'm a realtor and drive a 2000(yr) Ford F350 truck, I had a house listed for 3 days and It went under contract to be sold. Another Realtor drives a JAG and has had a house listed for 190 days in the same neighborhood. The car does not make the Realtor! I'm a normal person who just happens to sell houses for a living and people like that better than the overmade up poofy hair jag driving agents.
