Q: How do I fix my Emergency Brake on a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?
My Emergency Brake snapped in half near the rear left tire. Is this something that can be done by myself or do I have to bring it somewhere? And if I do have to bring it somewhere, how much do you think it will cost??!! Also, my radio quit working, any suggestions?
A: When you say it snapped in half, is the brake engaged or is it off. If its not throwing sparks I would just leave it, if you have a manual transmission always leave it in gear when you park and the vehicle is turned off.
Q: About how much would it cost to have the timing belt replaced on a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?
And is it something that my dad's friend, who is a mechanic, do in my garage, or do they have to have a special machine to do it?
A: i own a repair shop, and its something that any mechanic can do,,it doesn't take any real special tools to do it with either,,i think he could do it,he might need a good repair manual so it will have the right marks in the book, just in case it was to slip out of place on him,,other than that he shouldn't have a hard time doing it,,,good luck,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas,,ps ,as far as cost goes this can cost around 100 bucks or more if you have it done,,so id probably see if he could do it,,good luck.
Q: How much does it cost to have a new timing belt put in my 2003 hyundai tiburon?
...I heard you were suppose to get a new one around 60,000 miles or something like that. I just need an estimate of how much the belt itself would cost and then how much the labor would be. I was also wondering about around how many miles i should get a full service/maintnence check on it. (brake, spark plugs, tires, hoses, fluids...etc.) and also how much that would cost. If anyone knows, that would be awesome.
A: Yes, you need to change the belt at 60,000 miles, the belt is only like $30, but it takes about 3-4 hours of labor, so add about $300-350 in labor to that. Unless you have platinum plugs, then you are due for replacement now and that service is about $120, to inspect your hoses, brakes etc should be free or $50 tops. You should have your transmission and coolant flushed at 60,000 miles too, about another $200-250 for both, cheaper then a $2300 transmission replacement and $500 for a new radiator though.
Q: About how much would it cost to replace the oxygen sensor on a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?
And can not having this replaced have caused long term damage or cause ongoing problems? I bought my car used, and when they went to go get a new inspection sticker for it, it turned out it needed a new O2 sensor, and they're taking forever to fix it and my parents believe they're just trying to find a way to get out of having to actually FIX the problem so I was wanting to know, how much it would cost to fix it myself, and if it could have caused any damages by not being replaced sooner.
A: I don't know if the cost of fixing it is what's holding that up unless it's a really poor shop. Retail, to have it replaced at a dealership, should be somewhere around $100 (based on what it cost me to have done on a Subaru). Maybe it goes as high as $200, but it's not a huge expense, especially for the dealer. Maybe they're waiting to get another Hyundai in so they steal the sensor for that one...who knows?
I'm not a mechanic, but if I recall correctly, a bad O2 sensor will eventually damage your catalytic converter, which would be a big expense.
Q: the liquid in my 2003 hyundai tiburon keeps leaking into my car. Do I need to replace the slave cylinder?
the compartment where you put the liquid. It seems to be right in front of the steering wheel. And it makes me lose pressure with the clutch. But the clutch still works. It's just the peddle that goes flat.
A: Andy is correct,... cluctch master cylinder,...that should fall under powertrain warranty (if you bought it new) or possibly the 5year 60,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty if still in effect.
Usually an easy fix but requires contortionism and patience! And flare wrenches for the hydraulic clutch line! Don't round them off, that totally sucks!
Q: How much should I expect to pay for a new body control module on my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?
A: A Pretty Penny!
Q: Where can i find a wiring diagram for a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT with the Infinity sound system?
i'm putting a after market radio in myself and in the past ive done pretty good with out knowing witch wires are what but this one i want to know for sure.
A: Try like a best buy or circut city they should have it
Q: I am looking at buying a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon for $6000 with the awerage mileage of 75,000 is this a good deal
I am also selling a 1984 Mustang 5.0 in nebraska
A: a little more detail would be nice, is it V6 or I4, leather and moonroof? Assuming it has all those features it is worth $6000, if none of those features then not worth more then $4500 to me. The Tiburon is a reliable small car with average fuel economy and low maintenance costs. You should get many years of good use out of this car, enjoy. Check the reviews on http://www.edmunds.com or yahoo autos for more from owners.

It has a 4-cyl. engine, 5spd transmission. What is the top speed? Potential 0-60? I have done about 50mph in 2nd gear, is this a clue to good acceleration?

Q: What kind of motor oil should be used for a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT?
A: I highly recommend a synthetic oil. There's alot of info on it on the net. For that car 5w30 is whats recommended. If you start doing alot of preformance upgrades you may have to go with something with a little higher viscosity like 10w30. Your owners manual should also have this info in it.
Q: How many miles a gallon does a hyundai tiburon 2003 or 2004 2.0L give one?
I wanna buy one and I wanna know how many miles a gallon I can get from it.
A: All cars are different.
My tiburon 2.0 with manual transmission had 33 MPG. My friend's Tiburon with the same specs got 27 MPG.
Nevertheless, these cars get good gas mileage with manual transmission.
For automatic, expect around 25-28 MPG.
Q: anyone know where to get some aftermarket headlights for a 2003 hyundai tiburon?
i have an 03 tiburon and am searching for a site where i can buy some aftermarket headlights, i dont want oem, maybe some projection or halos. ive already searched online and ebay but so far no luck. if there are any other tibi owners out there, please help!
A: There are NO aftermarket headlights for the 2003 Tiburon.
It all ready has projectors for all forward facing beams, Low, High, and Fogs.
If you want something different you have to go custom. Many people buy the Korean-Spec headlights wich are chrome instead of gray. Also, a lot of owners paint their housings to black or to match the body color. Almost everyone takes out the orange plastic blinker cover/diffuser as well.
I have a black 03, and I painted my housings black and took that orange peice out.
You can buy halos to put in your factory housings, as well. Many sites sell them, they are pretty much universal. KSPEC.com is really good as well as Seoulfulracing.
To get started you need to pull your lights out, remove the bulbs, and you will most likely need to place the lights in an oven for a short amount of time to melt some of the glue that holds the lense to the housings. From there its pretty much whatever you want to do.
Also, you could of course put in the 2005/06 lights, or once the 07's become available, do a whole front face lift.
Q: Where can i order hyundai tiburon 2003 body kits online?
