Q: Is it possible to change the rims on a 2004 hyundai tiburon from 17" to 15"?
Our 2004 Tiburon came with the fancy wheels with 17" rims... unfortunately, the tires are wearing down in less than a year. Is it possible to downsize the rims to 15" so we can get a more durable tire for it?
A: Yes, but the tires ran out because they are performance tires, not because of the size.
Just get All Season tires. They last much longer than performance tires.

Q: How much will it cost to repaint a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon, a totally new color (possibly yellow or orange)?

Q: I have a 2004 hyundai tiburon, I have never had a problem with it, the battery is 2 years old?
I drove to work today no problems, I went to leave my work about an hour later to go to another location and my car wouldnt start, I had my friend push start it and I drove to the other location. I went to start my car again and it wouldnt start again. When I went to leave for the night I had my friend jump it, I drove around for awhile my radio will not turn on, and my lights dim every time I dried to use the windows, they are electric, any idea of what is going on? Is my battery just shot? I didnt leave anything running like lights, exc.
A: Have a auto parts store check your battery, also check your alternator to make sure its charging the battery.

A: there two types tail light(1. screw )is press the light back ward or push back (2. assembly) means you had to buy the tail light assembly.before you do that check for the Hyundai dealer give them (model number).the (type means) 2 door or 4 door (the year )
Q: I have electrical problems on my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon, what should i do?
First my door locks malfunction to the point where the passenger door doesn't lock and my keyless entry remote stopped working, it won't lock or unlock the car. Then soon the other electrical problems start kicking in. The beeping noise made when you open your car door or first start up the car is very elongated, sounds like it's retarted. Also when I use my blinkers, they blink really slow.
A: You are probably beginning to have faulty ground issues. That shark is going to take a bite out of your patience and money. Repairs still covered by warranty shouldn't cost you, but you may have to call a locksmith, tow-truck, etc. I would try to get those problems fixed under warranty and then sell or trade the car the same day you get it back, fixed.
Kia and Hyundai cars have had a horrible reputation for reliability and longevity. That's why they're advertising this 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty - to overcome their bad reputation, a reputation they earned. Their resale value goes down the tubes faster than almost anything else on the road, as far as I know.
1. Check and clean your battery cables. Use a battery brush, baking soda, and water to clean, petroleum jelly to protect, and a wrench to tighten. You can try commercial cleaners and protectant, but why spend the money when stuff around the house (except the battery brush) will work fine?
2. Take the shark back to the dealer for evaluation/repair. (tiburon is Spanish for shark).
3. Sell or trade it and get something Japanese or German, preferably with a 5 or 6-speed manual tranny, especially if you want a sports car or something economical on fuel.
4. Don't ever buy a Kia, Hyundai, or Daewoo again. Try to avoid American cars too (the American trucks aren't too bad).
Q: How to do a tune up on a 2004 hyundai tiburon?
A: screw a dealer.. Hyundais are the easiest cars to do work on your own.. Everything is in the open, nothing is hidden or impossible to reach.
For the best parts go to www.hyundaiperformance.com and my favorite www.sharkracing.com. I got my 2002 Elantra up to 420hp right now.
Q: "Official" name of plastic covering for fuel tank on 2004 Hyundai Tiburon?
I had a moment of idiocy and punctured a pretty nasty hole in the plastic covering that houses the fuel tank... I would like to buy one aftermarket/OEM, but I can't find them anywhere! I think the problem is that I don't know the "official" or "accepted" name for the part, as "fuel tank protector" isn't sufficing. Can anyone tell me what it's really called (and a link to one, if you have it offhand)? Thanks in advance!
A: google
Q: 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT 2.7L left side signal light failure to turn off need help.?
Hi all, I have a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon that has the 3 left side turn signal lights ( front, dash and rear) stuck on at all times. The only way to turn them off is to pull the hazard fuse from the interior fuse box. I was wondering what the problem was and how could i fix it? I'm no mechanic so you'd probably have to explain a little in detail. I can't find the fuse for the turning signals i checked in the passenger seat and in the motor. Any Solutions?
A: The multi-function switch (turnsignal switch) is bad and internally shorted.
Q: how to replace my hyundai 2004 tiburon automatic gear shift knob, with a new one?
A: just twist it off
Q: 2004 hyundai tiburon?
i found a 2004 hunidai tiburon with 60000 miles for 9999 is that a good price. will i expect relyibilty issues with the tiburon. and is it a good car for a 17 year old
A: Sounds like a very good price and find to me...of course you want to open with an offer of $9000. I guess now that the warranty has ended the owner is buying a new car, so spend $150 and have a private shop look the car over for any potential problems or current items requiring repair. If it checks out then you have a nice car that should last another 60,000 miles without much more then maintenance and probably 100,000 miles or more total.
Q: Honda ep3 2004 vs hyundai tiburon 2003 vs lancer ralliart 2004?
i got a friend thats have been working for a long time and he's going to buy a car and he doesn't decide one of this three what do you suggest?? or what do you think??
A: honda all the way. they have a good reputation, are very durable and reliable. hyundai's are disposable cars.. how many 10 year old hyundai's do you see drinving around, and how many 10 year old hondas are still on the road? hondas and toyotas are the best cars.. my daily driver is a 17 year old toyota celica.
Q: 2004 Hyundai Tiburon MOD question?
I have an automatic 4 cyclinder, and wanted to know what exactly I can put 'partwise' to make my car run smoother, better, and safer if possible. I'm not a car expert, and I'm scared of buying things that might not even help.
I just want to know what you think is the best stuff to add to make my car run the best it can, because I really want it to last me 10 years at tops...because i love my car so very much =( i dont want it to die
A: I agree 100% with the 1st post. The best thing anyone can do to keep their car running well is to have the proper maintenance done on time per the schedule in your owners manual. You can have the work done at any mechanic shop you trust, which will save you 25% over going to the dealer for the same service.
Your car should already be running as smooth and well as it was designed to do and please do not buy a tornado or mod chip on ebay, those don't work and have on occassional damaged peoples cars.
As for safety, that too is a maintenance issue, maintain your brakes and tires, this is what drives and stops your car.
I wouldn't really waste time with performance mod's since they are so pricey and don't return any value at the time you sell your car, nor do they provide a significant increase in performance...mostly just a waste of money.
Q: Cd-Rw in a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon?
Will it play Cd-Rw's? I don't know if it is my Cd-Rw or if it the car's system. Will it play Cd-r or Cd-Rw's?
A: My 2003 Tiburon has the Infinity system and plays any cd's I burn without any problems. You may want to go with cd-r for this, a cheap or a stock player may have issues reading the disc.
If you want to play mp3 files you would need a mp3 player in the vehicle.
Q: What is causing my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon to idle high?
It does it now and again. Here is the scenario, I will be driving in traffic and when I take it out of gear, the RPMs will climb to 4k. Once I put it back in gear, it is fine. I also noticed that when I shift gears, the RPMs will climb as well, but when I put it in gear, it drives fine. I have not heard anything about this issue on the net so I am stumped. Of course, my bumper to bumper warranty is void as I have 74k miles. HELP!!!
A: Pop the hood and throw your money at it, that's what most tech's do at the dealer.....
When the car is idling, see if you can pull the throttle plate closed and further. If it goes down to idle, you may have to clean your throttle body or have a problem with your cable.
