Q: Anybody looking for a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT Limited or know where the best place to sell it is?
I own a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT Limited in great condition with only 28,000 miles on it but can't seem to find a place to sell it. I am trying to get $14,990 for it which is way below bluebook. I've also put it on craigslist.org, autotrader, cars.com, and local papers. It's been a few months and still no word from anyone. I would appreciate any information or advice anyone could give me, or if anyone is interested in the car! Thanks.
A: I'll tell you from personal experience, selling a used car privately is very hard. I've sold a Honda Civic (3 yrs old) and Nissan Maxima (7 yrs old), but it is a time consuming process as their are so many used cars out there and the quality of buyers isn't that good. You'll get alot of jokers offering you 25% below what you are asking or worse hoping you are desperate. You could try ebay, I've had alot of success selling motorcycles there, but cars rarely seem to reach the price most people are looking for. If you are tired of trying to sell yourself, you might take it to CarMax and see how much they will give you for it. Carmax usually will make a good offer if they like the model you have, probably more then the losers you've had call you.
Also, if anyone contacts you that lives overseas or wants to mail you a certified check....simply tune them out. I've had several of these types send checks for twice the asking price (to cover shipping they claim) that take upto a week to bounce...long enough they hope for you to wire 1/2 the money to a fake shipping person.
Q: I am thinking about buying a pre-owned 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT, how can I check to see if it has ABS?
The car is a V6 w/ auto transmission, it also has the moon roof and 360 watt sound system options, is the a way to know if the ABS option was added on back in 2005 when it was built? Thanks!
A: Don't think they go fast enough to worry.
Q: How do i change the temperature from Celcius to Farenheit on my 2005 Hyundai Tiburon?

Q: How much will car max give for 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT with 29,000 miles on it? Is there a better option?
Blue book says about 14,000 for a trade-in. Will carmax try to low-ball me. And is there another option to sell my car besides private? Thanks.
A: yeah they will offer you private sale or wholesale or just below because they need to resell your car,, and if it wont sell then they take it in the back end at a car auction,,
they are not in the business to lose money,
Q: 2005 hyundai tiburon gt maintenance schedule?
Ok so like an idiot i misplaced my owners manual. it looks like they aren't easy to come by anymore. Can anyone show me a schedule or where to get a book? 5 stars for sure.
A: Most auto manufacturers have an online "Owner Resource Center" where you can download (& save to your computer or print) owners manuals FREE.
Here is the link to Hyundai's "owner site"
http://www.hyundaiusa.com/owners/myhyundai/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fowners%2fservice%2fservicerecords.aspx
I hope this helps ;-)
Q: Should I paint my 2005 hyundai tiburon burnt orange and put black wheels on it?
A: Just make sure you have it done right, have them strip the car and paint all of it, just just the outside panels. Nothing ruins a look more than having a custom color job, and when you open the door, there's the original color in the door jamb.
If you don't want to pay to have it done up so that it's all painted, might I suggest leave the car the original color and pay to have some accents or graphics painted?
Q: How do you reprogram the keyless entry remote for a 2005 hyundai tiburon??
the light is blinking on the remote when I push the button, but nothing happens. I've even replaced the battery.
A: they will need to be reprogramed which will have to be done at the dealership using the hyundai scantool. they just drop out every now and then for no reason. if it becomes more frequent it will need a new remote which will be covered under warranty.
Q: Where can I find a detailed wiring diagram of my ecu/pcm for a 2005 hyundai tiburon gt v6?
I just ordered a super afc from apexi and I cant find a wiring diagram that will help me install it. I have already visited a dealership and I can find no repair manuals. Thanx heaps

Q: Is the 2005 hyundai tiburon only a V6 or is it both I4 and V6?
And would this be a good car for a new driver in the state of illinois. Terms of insurance, cost, MPG, space (im a big person!) and safety. But if you know any other cars that would meet my requirements then state them. Thanks!
A: It comes with a 4cyl and a 6 cyl, both come automatic or manual trans.
Insurance is probably higher than if you bought an Elantra.
Cost: too high if you ask me; compare to other brands.
Mileage: pretty low compared to other brands. Hyundai is not known for its fuel economy!
Space: if you are 6ft tall, your head will be bumping the headliner all the time. If you get an 06 or later Tiburon, you'll be more comfortable. The Koreans redesigned the seat track so that you sit just a bit lower and can go just a bit further back with it. I know on an 05 I'd slam the seat back all the way and I would be ok with leg room (but not head room), on the 06, if I put the seat back all the way I had to move it up a notch.
If you meant "big" as in you are 6' tall when you are laying down, then don't even think about it. Space is pretty tight inside a Tib.
Safety: It has airbags galore. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hyundai to be the first to have that foam option like in Demoliton Man! Just chip your way out of the car after you hit that tree!
Honestly, Hyundai is ok for a low price, but now their pricing is going up and up. You compare their product to something else, such as a Mazda, and if you actually DRIVE the vehicle, you'll quickly notice the difference in quality. I have yet to see a Hyundai automatic that shifts well. It is just software, but clearly in Korea they aren't driving much because those "quirks" get tiresome after a while, and the Koreans still haven't got it right after 5+ years of trying. Road noise, that gets to you as well after a while. Drive a Tiburon with 18" wheels over a concrete bridge, listen to the tire's wail!
Mind you, the Tiburon is not bad, for a certain price. I've recommended Hyundai to several friends. But you take a set price for a Tib, then go compare it to other vehicles and you'll see you really are only getting that extra long warranty for the price. But you are losing a lot of refinement.
Go drive a Mazdaspeed3. Not that I'd recommend that as a first car. For a new driver, go buy a beater. Why? Because you are going to crash once or twice in your first year. You'll hit curbs and potholes. If you don't, that means you have Miss Daisy in the backseat, in which case when the inevitable emergency comes up, you'll freak out and crash anyway because you'll have no idea what your car does in a panic situation.
Get a worn out car cheap, learn responsibility by keeping it going and repairing what you damage. But in the end you haven't destroyed a nice car.
After a year, you'll have driven enough to know what you like and what you want in a car. By then you may know how to drive well enough to be able to handle something with a bit more power.
And if you buy a new car, you'll know what a worn out car is like so you won't go bug the dealer with nonsense like "at 100 mph my car is much noisier than at 25mph".
Q: what is the tire code for for a hyundai tiburon 2005 gt?
i dont have a hyundai tiburon. if i had i would check the sidewall
A: "i dont have a hyundai tiburon. if i had i would check the sidewall"
then why you asking? besides, there is no such thing as a tire code.
Q: insurance on a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon ?
i'm almost 17 years old and i was looking for a used car for my birthday, a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon to be exact. And i was just wondering if anyone knows how much insurance would cost monthly or every 6 months. i know being so young and getting a sports car it's gonna be alot monthly but if anyone knows how much it'll be ....
PLEASE HELP !!!
A: Insurance is very individual because it's based on your drivers record, sex, age, and a number of other variables such as location, credit rating and type of vehicle being insured.

Q: who would win in a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon v6 or Accord in a race?
A: is the honda a 6? it'd be close, the hyundai is pretty quick but
so is the honda. i'd bet on the hyundai.
Q: i have a 2005 hyundai tiburon my cigarette lighter wont give of power how do i fix it?
A: check the fuse?
Q: 2005 hyundai tiburon 6 cyclinder?
I was womdering if it was nornal to smoke all the time. Also when i get out of the car, theres always a ticking noise. Is that normal
A: no and no. Ticking is a problem with the valves most likely. Smoking is burning oil or running really really rich. In any case take it to get fixed ASAP.
Q: 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT Tires?
Are the tires on this particualr car all-season? Anyone have this vehicle?
A: Beach Girl; Look for Uniroyals or Michelins for a good wearing tire, this is my opinion. I have my 3rd set of B.F. Goodrich on my Cobra Mustang, they're not bad, but all tires will wear out eventually. Hope this helps.
