Q: Where is the oil filter on a 2007 Hyundai Tucson?
Do I need to remove some sort of shield to get to it? Thanks! Where is the plate specifically? Are the screws labeled "12"?

A: Yes, there is a plate with 4 or 5 screws(12mm) plus 2 plastic clips to remove, crazy design.

Q: 2007 Hyundai Tucson paint problem?
I have a 2007 tucson (white), it has thousands of pin size rust spots already. Its under warranty, anybody else have this problem?

A: Sorry, the paint on my 2006 Azera looks pristine still. If your car is still under warranty then you might be able to get a free repaint? If the paint and clear coats were applied too thin or improperly you may have a case. I'd definitely be taking it back to complain and call the customer service number if you think this is a defect covered by the warranty. I know the paint is covered for a shorter time then 5 yrs 60K miles.

Q: 2007 hyundai tucson or 2007 honda civic?
im planning to buy a new car, so which do u guys prefer?

A: Apples and oranges, you are comparing a small(ish) SUV/Crossover to a compact sedan. Do you ever need to go off road, or tow anything? If the answer is yes, the Civic isn't suitable for either. If the answer is no, on the street the Civic will be cheaper, quicker, MUCH better on gas, and handle better. If you live in an area where it snows, buy winter tires for your Civic, you'll still be a lot cheaper than the Tucson and more efficient. You don't need AWD, just good rubber. You can even consider studded tires if the conditions in your area justify them. You also have the long term reliability/durability factor - I know Hyundai's have great warranties, but until I know a dozen people that have driven them over 200K miles, I still have more confidence in Hondas.

Q: Did you buy a 2007 Hyundai Tucson?
What do you love about it? Anything you don't like about it? Any options you wish you had sprung for? Any other reviews? Wanted to add that I own a 2003 Sonata, love it, and I am not upside down in it. That may be because I put a lot down to keep my payments reasonable. I owe $2200 and Kelley Blue Book indicates it is worth $9000 trade-in, if I remember right.

A: With all due respect to Bill up there, I'm yet to run into a Hyundai owner that wasn't WAY upside down in their vehicle (they owe more than it's worth). I don't care what their lease residual value is, their street value doesn't hold up. And as far as their warranty goes, my understanding is you need to document all your maintenance or the warranty is void (you should check that out, thought). At some point a deductible kicks in also, and when you go to sell your Hyundai, the warranty is over. GMs 5 year / 100,000 mile warranty, therefore, is a better value.

Q: I have an 2007 Hyundai Tucson?
When it's cold, I hear a noise from the front wheels while driving. After a few minutes, the noise stops. Why?

A: I would guess it the brakes rubbing the rotor and no big deal/problem... but the car is under warranty, so take it in and have it checked.

Q: I am planning to buy Hyundai Tucson 2007?
Can any one tell me, how this product works and how maney miles it give per gallon. please help me. if you have any reviews link that wold be appriciated.

A: Can you say www.hyundaiusa.com all the info you need on this car, but for reviews and comparisons go to www.edmunds.com

Q: Hyundai Tucson LATCH system?
its a 2007 Hyundai tucson. I read and manual and see that it does have the latch system for my sons car seat but I still cannot find the latch themselves.

A: if u fold the rear seat flat and u look behind it there is a symbol of a car seat pull the tab up and the the hook is in there put the seat back up and there are two more hooks in between the seats if u put Ur hand in there and look around you ll find them. anymore questions just ask. i guess your salesman didn't do a very good walk around.

Q: does anyone know anything about the Hyundai Tucson?
Me and my husband are thinking about buying a Hyundai Tucson-2007-manual transmission, gsl. does anyone have any advice about this vehicle??

A: It's reasonably priced. The rivals, Rav4, and CRV have starting prices $1000 dollars more. It also has the best warranty(10 year or 100,000 mile powertrain) A handful of nice and useful standard features. Also a roomy and comfortable ride. Could use a bigger 4 cyl. engine though.

Q: How can I increase power in a 4 cylinder car?
New car with low power for entering highways and climbing hills, but fine afterward. Is there a kit to increase power? It's a new 2007 Hyundai Tucson with a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine rated at 140 horsepower.

A: K&N air filter will allow less restriction, more airflow...however it allows more particles through that your factory air filter wouldn't. NGK plugs and wires. I am assuming you don't want to do too much, as you have a warranty. Much else will void warranty.

Q: Hi! I'm planning to buy an SUV. Can you please give me a performance rating or car review for?
2007 hyundai tucson. Thanks!

A: crash test: http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2007/hyundai/tucson/safety/ review: http://www.automotive.com/2007/12/hyundai/tucson/reviews/index.html plenty out there google 2007 hyndai tucson review or first drive

Q: How would I get a dealer to agree to lower the price of a used car?
This question is for dealers and/or experienced car buyers. I know that when a dealer puts cars out on the lot (used or old), they add additional costs to the price for the most menial things, such as adding a layer of wax and shining the tires, raising the price or adding that little pinstripe accent along the side of the vehicle and tacking on a couple thousand more dollars, etc. I used to have some buddys that detailed cars at a dealership but I have moved since then and don't really know anybody that knows how to talk to dealers. So when I go to a dealership to purchase a vehicle, to lowere the price by maybe $5000.00 or so; what strategy or what type of remarks could i make towards their listed price that would lead them to a price more of my liking? Any suggestions are welcome. (I am looking to buy a small suv somewhere between 2005-2007, ie. ford escape or hyundai tucson, etc. Some of the prices I've seen are range from 16-21K...but every little bit of savings helps.)

A: i would think with great difficulty but good luck.

Q: If you had a choice to buy a car or a SUV? what kind? If you had to choose?
either 2007 or 2008...must be 5 speed A Toyota Camry or an suv? A Honda CRV? A Hyundai Tucson? A Mazda? I live in WA so need a car that is good in rain and gas.....

A: There are lots of things to consider when looking for your new Ride! The room, The Comfort, Which appeals to your needs and wants. Then what is most important to you. Is it the has mileage, The comfort the safety. If I where you I would drive everything your looking at then make your choice. If I where you I would also look at the Chevy Malibu 2008 this is a really great Chevy, IT will blow the doors off the Camry. Forget about the Hyundai! If I can be of any more help, email me

Q: 2007 hyundai tucson or 2007 honda civic?
which do you guys prefer?

A: Since you are looking for an economy car I'd definitely go with the Civic over the Tucson since the Tucson gets about 13 less miles per gallon. Now if you bring the Elantra into the equation the choice is tougher. Small cars don't depreciate as much as larger cars, so that shouldn't be a major concern, but if it is then as the guy stated a 2-3 year old Hyundai is a tramendous value when compared to a Honda of the same year. So, I'd probably go with a Elantra, but Civic is very good too, Tucson isn't worth it due to poor MPG.
